Christiania Shipping’s core business lays in its subsidiaries, Christiania Chemical, Christiania Gas and Christiania Energy. With a strong culture and team of people , Christiania Shipping operate and manage a fleet of more than 40 vessels.

Christiania companies parent company, Eitzen Group, is a family-owned maritime organization headquartered in Oslo, Norway, with a rich legacy dating back to its establishment in 1883 by Captain Camillo Eitzen.
With over 140 years of invaluable shipping experience, the group has transformed into a leading global entity. Ownership Structure

Eitzen Avanti AS oversees a network that includes Christiania Shipping A/S at its core, which in turn branches out into specialized subsidiaries like Christiania Chemical A/S, Christiania Energy A/S, and Christiania Gas A/S.

Axel Camillo Eitzen
Chairman
- Axel is Chairman of the Board in Christiania Shipping and the Eitzen Group as fourth-generation shipowner
- He was the majority owner, CEO and Chairman of the Board in Eitzen Chemical ASA, Eitzen Bulk, A/S Eitzen Gas A/S and Eitzen Maritime Services ASA.
- Previously served as Chairman of the Board for GARD, and Board member in DNV and the Norwegian Shipowners Association
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH, and a degree in economics

Fridtjof Camillo Eitzen
Director
- Fridtjof is the CEO of Christiania Shipping, CEO of Høglund AS, CEO of Zen AS and Senior Partner in the Eitzen Group as fifth generation
- Previously held technical positions in DNV and GOLAR LNG
- Member of the Board of Directors in Christiania Shipping, of which he previously served as Chairman
- MSc Naval architecture from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NHH)
- CFA/MBA Corporate Finance from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU

Axel Stove Lorentzen
Director
- Axel has 40 years experience in shipping both on the owning and brokering side.
- He held senior or executive positions with Lorentzen & Stemoco AS from 1981 and is currently the Chairman of the Board at NorthCape.
- Mr. Stove Lorentzen was a member of the Executive Committee of BIMCO from 2001-2004, the Vice President from 2005 to 2006, as well as a board member of Nordic American Tankers Shipping Ltd. listed in New York, from 1995-2001.
- Graduated with a degree from University of Innsbruck in 1978

Nicolai Catincho Eitzen
Director
- Nicolai is the CEO of E Capital AS and Partner in the Eitzen Group as fifth generation
- He previously held positions at Pareto Securities AS and was Partner at NorthCape AS in Singapore and Oslo.
- Member of the Board of Directors in Eitzen AS and previously served on the Board of Directors in Christiania Gas
- BSc with Honors in Management and Economics from the University of St. Andrews

Snorre Krogstad
CFO
- Snorre is a finance professional with more than 20 years of experience within international banking and shipping
- Previously held the position as CFO in Norwegian Car Carriers, AWILCO LNG and Camillo Eitzen & Co ASA
- Previously served as member of the Board in Christiania Shipping
- BSc in Business Administration and Management from the University of Vermont, USA

Torben Larsen
COO and Head of Chemicals
- Torben has spent his entire career on the owning side in the chemical tanker industry
- Started his career as trainee with Herning Shipping A/S in 1984
- He has been working for Armada Shipping, Parcel Tankers Services, Copenhagen Tankers, Clipper Tankers and Nordic Tankers
- Mainly on the Chartering side with chemical tankers up to 25,000 dwt, and with various managerial responsibilities
- In 2014 Torben became head of Chartering for Herning Shipping A/S, when it was still part of the Nordic Tankers organisation

Øystein Brekke
Technical Director
- Øystein has more than 12 years experience from ship management and owner’s technical within LPG, tankers and PCTCs
- Previously held technical positions in Solvang, Norwegian Car Carriers and V-Ships
- Project experience within shipping, ship newbuilding, Oil & Gas, Sox scrubbers, LNG handling systems and subsea structures
- MSc in Naval architecture from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)

Anne Sofie Reimann
Chief Accounting & Reporting Officer
- Anne Sofie has 10 years experience as an external auditor in PwC and Deloitte primarily serving large and listed enterprises within the shipping industry
- MSc in Business Economics and Auditing from Copenhagen Business School (CBS)
- MSC in Marketing and Communication from Copenhagen Business School (CBS)

Rune E. Lorentsen
Head of Gas
- Rune began his career at sea and has spent the past 15 years working onshore
- He started as a deck cadet with Maersk Line in 1997 and stayed until 2008
- His onshore career has focused on operations and performance in the small chemical tanker segment,
- Previously held positions in Clipper Tankers, Nordic Tankers, and Crystal Nordic

Herning Shipping partly sold to management, while founding family Lysgaard maintains a 29% stake

More than 45 vessels are controlled at its peak and WAF COA coverage is beginning to develop

Triton acquires Herning Shipping

Financial restructuring of Herning Shipping – Herning Shipping separated from Nordic Tankers and no longer considered as being affiliated companies

Herning office closes and all DK based activities moves to Copenhagen – All Danish commercial and technical activities are outsourced to Nordic Tankers
