Erik Bartnes (1959)
Chairman of the Board
Since 2010 Erik Bartnes has focused on own investments through his company Castel AS. Erik was co-founder of Pareto AS and senior partner from 1988 to 2010, and chairman of Pareto AS until April 2013, and has vast experience within project finance, corporate finance and asset management with focus on shipping and oil service sectors.
Currently, Erik serves as chairman of the board and Secretary to Hafnia Tankers Ltd, chairman of ANE Shipping AS, Eclipse Drilling AS, Revier Invest AS and Johan Vinje AS. He is a board member of Pareto Forvaltning AS, Premium Maritime Fund AS,- and Fund II AS, Thor Dahl Shipping AS and Thor Dahl Management AS.
Previously, Erik served as a board member of Eitzen Chemical ASA, Viking Cruices Ltd, Nordic Tankers, Nordic Shipholding, Siva Shipping AS and Ugland Shipping AS. Mr Bartnes holds a LizRerPol degree from University of Fribourg in Switzerland. Erik is a Norwegian citizen residing in Oslo.
Nicolai Heidenreich (1973)
Nicolai Heidenreich has 17 years of experience in the shipping sector. He is Managing Director, founder and majority owner of Seahorse Maritime AS, a ship finance investment company based in Oslo, Norway, He has since 2012 initiated and managed a great amount of portfolios of shipping and offshore investments in all segments of these markets, including several chemical tankers.
Prior to his current role, Nicolai worked with Pareto Project Finance for 9 years whereof the last 4,5 years as partner, and was part of a team that executed an extensive number of direct investment transactions within shipping and offshore.
Before joining Pareto, he worked as Publisher for Marine Money Inc., the world’s leading ship finance magazine and conference organizer. Currently he serves on the board of several investment companies within the maritime segments in Norway and abroad. Nicolai is a Norwegian citizen residing in Oslo.
Axel C. Eitzen (1954)
Axel C. Eitzen is currently CEO of Christiania Shipping. Axel is the fourth Generation shipowner in Camillo Eitzen & Co, founded in 1883. He was the majority owner, CEO and Chairman in the Eitzen Group companies; Eitzen Chemical ASA, Eitzen Bulk A/S, Eitzen Gas A/S and Eitzen Maritime Services ASA. Axel has served as Chairman of Assuranceforeningen GARD, and board member in Det norske Veritas ( DnV GL) and the Norwegian Shipowners Association. He holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engeneering from ETH Zurich, and a degree in economics. Axel Eitzen is a Norwegian citizen and is presently residing in Copenhagen.
